30 second explanation;
Hotels register on the system, load up and maintain their room pricing and availability. On the other side Travel Agents sign up, are approved and start selling available hotel rooms to their clients.
In Detail
There are three different payment methods.
A. Prepay - Travel Agent books online obtains full payment from the customer and then pays AxisRooms 85% of the full value by credit card. AxisRooms refunds the 80% of the full value to the Hotel (ie In Default State the Travel Agent earns 15% commission and AxisRooms 5%.
B. Prepay – A Customer books on the Travel Agent website or through any of the AxisRooms affiliated websites and pays a 20% deposit to secure the room, paying the balance direct to the hotel on arrival.
C. Post Pay – A Hotel can elect to work with the Travel Agent in the more common 'Post Pay Status', the hotel must invoice the Travel Agent after the guest has departed.
- The hotel can if they wish change the Travel Agent commission to a higher level.Hotels can logon to the extranet and make Special Offers either to
- Travel Agents or to Customers that are automatically e mailed to thousands of Travel Agents EVER DAY.
- Hotels can sell Packages as well as rooms.The system operates by ‘Allocation’ thereby preventing over-booking.
- Travel Agents can sell the rooms through their own website.
- There is no sign up fees for Travel Agent
